tranquil + -ize से बना; मूलतः लैटिन tranquillus (“शांत, स्थिर”) से।
Definition
To make someone calm and less anxious or to sedate them, especially by giving a medicine (a tranquilizer). It can also mean to soothe or quiet something mentally or emotionally.
किसी व्यक्ति को शांत और कम चिंतित करना या उसे सुस्त/निश्चेत करना, विशेषकर दवा (ट्रैंक्विलाइज़र) देकर। यह मन या भावनाओं को शांत/स्थिर करने के अर्थ में भी प्रयुक्त होता है।
