From French ogive/ogee (architectural term), ultimately from Medieval Latin/Latinized forms related to the pointed arch; modern English use developed in architectural vocabulary from the 17th century onward.
फ़्रेंच ogive/ogee (वास्तुकला-सम्बंधी शब्द) से; मूलतः मध्यकालीन लैटिन/लैटिनीकृत रूपों के माध्यम से नुकीली मेहराब (pointed arch) से जुड़ा हुआ। अंग्रेज़ी में इसका आधुनिक प्रयोग 17वीं शताब्दी के बाद वास्तुकला की शब्दावली में विकसित हुआ।
