From Late Latin liquidationem (a clearing, making clear), from Latin liquidus (“clear, fluid”), later used in legal/financial sense as “settle, clear debts”; English liquidation developed this business sense in the 17th–19th centuries.
लेटिन के late Latin liquidationem (अर्थ: साफ़ करना/समाशोधन) से, जो Latin liquidus (“स्वच्छ/तरल”) से बना; बाद में कानूनी/वित्तीय अर्थ में “देनदारियाँ/हिसाब साफ़ करना” के लिए प्रयोग हुआ; अंग्रेज़ी में 17वीं–19वीं शताब्दी में इसका व्यावसायिक अर्थ (परिसमापन) विकसित हुआ।
Definition
Liquidations are processes in which a company’s assets are sold and turned into cash to pay creditors, settle liabilities, and formally wind up operations; the term can also mean the clearing/settlement of obligations, and in some contexts the elimination of something.
लिक्विडेशन वे प्रक्रियाएँ हैं जिनमें किसी कंपनी की संपत्तियाँ बेचकर नकद में बदली जाती हैं ताकि लेनदारों का भुगतान किया जा सके, देनदारियाँ निपटाई जा सकें और औपचारिक रूप से कारोबार बंद/समाप्त किया जा सके; इस शब्द का अर्थ दायित्वों के निपटान/समाशोधन से भी हो सकता है, और कुछ संदर्भों में किसी चीज़ को समाप्त/खत्म करने से भी।
