Definition
“Imputes” is the third-person singular present form of “impute.” It means to say that something (often blame, responsibility, a cause, or a quality) should be assigned to a person or thing; in theology it can mean to ascribe sin/righteousness by substitution, and in statistics/data science it can mean to fill in missing values with substitutes.
