Definition
In art and drawing, to foreshorten is to represent a form (like an arm or road) so it looks shorter because it is angled toward the viewer, creating an effect of depth; more generally, it can mean to shorten or compress something.
कला/ड्राइंग में, foreshorten का अर्थ किसी आकृति (जैसे हाथ या सड़क) को इस तरह परिप्रेक्ष्य में दिखाना है कि वह दर्शक की ओर/दर्शक से दूर कोण पर होने के कारण छोटी प्रतीत हो और गहराई का प्रभाव बने; सामान्य अर्थ में यह किसी चीज़ को संक्षिप्त/छोटा करना भी हो सकता है।
