Definition
Endocrinologists are physicians who diagnose, manage, and treat diseases caused by hormone imbalances and disorders of endocrine glands (such as the thyroid, pancreas, adrenal glands, and pituitary). They commonly treat conditions like diabetes, thyroid disease, infertility, osteoporosis, and adrenal or pituitary disorders.
एंडोक्राइनोलॉजिस्ट (अंतःस्रावी विशेषज्ञ) वे चिकित्सक होते हैं जो हार्मोन के असंतुलन तथा अंतःस्रावी ग्रंथियों (जैसे थायरॉयड, अग्न्याशय, अधिवृक्क और पिट्यूटरी) से जुड़ी बीमारियों का निदान, प्रबंधन और उपचार करते हैं। वे अक्सर मधुमेह, थायरॉयड रोग, बांझपन, ऑस्टियोपोरोसिस और अधिवृक्क/पिट्यूटरी विकारों का इलाज करते हैं।
