Dextroamphetamine is a prescription stimulant (the ‘dextro-’ or right‑handed isomer of amphetamine) that increases activity of certain brain chemicals (especially dopamine and norepinephrine) to improve attention and wakefulness; it can cause side effects and has misuse/dependence potential.
