From Latin constituere (“to set up, establish”), via Middle French constituence and English constituency (18th century), originally meaning a body of electors.
लैटिन constituere (“स्थापित करना, बनाना”) से, मध्य फ़्रांसीसी constituence के माध्यम से अंग्रेज़ी constituency (18वीं शताब्दी) में; मूल अर्थ ‘मतदाताओं का समूह’ था।
Definition
Constituencies are the people in a particular area who elect a representative, or the area itself; more broadly, any group that supports or is served by a politician, institution, or organization.
Constituencies वे मतदाता-समूह या क्षेत्र होते हैं जो किसी प्रतिनिधि को चुनते हैं; व्यापक अर्थ में यह किसी नेता/संस्था/संगठन का समर्थन करने या उससे सेवाएँ पाने वाला कोई भी समर्थक-समूह भी हो सकता है।
