Origin & History
From Latin “congerere” (‘to heap together’), via French/Latin-based formations; “congest” developed the sense ‘to block/overfill’.
लैटिन “congerere” (अर्थ: ‘एक साथ ढेर लगाना/इकट्ठा करना’) से, फ्रेंच/लैटिन-आधारित रूपों के माध्यम से; बाद में “congest” का अर्थ ‘जाम करना/भर देना/अवरुद्ध करना’ विकसित हुआ।
Definition
It (a road, area, or passage) becomes crowded or blocked because too many things/people are present, or it causes such blockage.
यह (सड़क, क्षेत्र, या मार्ग) बहुत अधिक लोगों/वाहनों/पदार्थों के कारण भीड़भाड़ या जाम हो जाता है, या यह ऐसी रुकावट/जाम पैदा करता है।
