Definition
“Chanters” is the plural form of “chanter.” It can mean people who chant/sing (often in religious or ceremonial settings), certain priests who sing in a chantry, the main melody pipe of a bagpipe, a small bird called the hedge sparrow, or (rare/dated) someone who fraudulently sells horses by exaggerating their qualities.
