From brick + layer (“one who lays bricks”); brick from Middle English, ultimately from Old French/Frankish forms, and layer from Old English related to “lay”.
brick + layer (अर्थ: “ईंटें जमाने/लगाने वाला”); ‘brick’ मध्य अंग्रेज़ी से (अंततः पुरानी फ़्रांसीसी/फ़्रैंकिश रूपों से) और ‘layer/lay’ पुरानी अंग्रेज़ी मूल से।
Definition
Bricklayers are skilled construction workers who lay bricks in rows, spread mortar, align and level the work, and build structures such as walls, chimneys, and buildings.
ईंट-चिनाई करने वाले कुशल निर्माण-कारीगर जो पंक्तियों में ईंटें जमाते हैं, गारा (मोर्टार) लगाते हैं, काम को सीध/समतल करते हैं और दीवारें, चिमनियाँ तथा इमारतें बनाते या मरम्मत करते हैं।
