Recorded from the late 19th century; originally referring to a reserve log of wood kept at the back of a fire, later generalized to mean a reserve or an accumulation of pending work.
यह शब्द 19वीं शताब्दी के उत्तरार्ध में दर्ज मिलता है; शुरुआत में आग के पीछे रखा लकड़ी का अतिरिक्त ‘लॉग’ (भंडार) अर्थ था, जो बाद में ‘भंडार’ और फिर ‘लंबित काम/जमा कार्य’ के सामान्य अर्थ में फैल गया।
Definition
A back-log is a pile-up of tasks, orders, cases, or data that should have been dealt with but are still pending; it can also mean stored goods kept for future use.
बैकलॉग उन कार्यों, आदेशों, मामलों या आँकड़ों का जमा होना है जिन्हें निपटाया जाना था लेकिन वे अभी भी लंबित हैं; इसका अर्थ भविष्य के लिए रखे गए भंडार/स्टॉक से भी हो सकता है।
