From Latin amplificare (“to enlarge, increase”), via French amplifier; in electronics the term came to mean a device that increases signal strength, and “amplifiers” is the plural of “amplifier.”

Amplifiers are electronic devices or circuits that take a weak input signal and output a stronger version of it, increasing power, voltage, or current (often used in audio systems, radios, and communications).
एम्प्लिफ़ायर (प्रवर्धक) ऐसे इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरण या परिपथ होते हैं जो कमजोर इनपुट संकेत को लेकर उसका अधिक शक्तिशाली रूप आउटपुट करते हैं, यानी शक्ति, वोल्टेज या धारा बढ़ाते हैं (अक्सर ऑडियो सिस्टम, रेडियो और संचार में उपयोग होते हैं)।
