Origin & History
From Ancient Greek amphí- (“on both sides”) + thýra (“door”); amphithyron refers to a place with doors on both sides, with the plural amphithyrons/amphithurons used in later English.
प्राचीन यूनानी amphí- (“दोनों ओर”) + thýra (“दरवाज़ा”) से; amphithyron का अर्थ दोनों ओर दरवाज़ों वाला स्थान है, और बाद की अंग्रेज़ी में इसका बहुवचन amphithyrons/amphithurons के रूप में मिलता है।
Definition
Amphithurons are structures (or rooms) designed with doors or openings on opposite sides, allowing passage through from one side to the other; the term is rare and mainly classical/architectural.
एम्फिथ्यूरॉन्स ऐसे ढाँचे (या कमरे) होते हैं जिनके विपरीत दिशाओं में (आगे और पीछे) दरवाज़े या खुलने होते हैं, जिससे एक तरफ से दूसरी तरफ आसानी से जाया जा सके; यह शब्द दुर्लभ है और मुख्यतः शास्त्रीय/वास्तु-सम्बंधी संदर्भों में मिलता है।
