एल्जीसाइड्स ऐसे पदार्थ (अक्सर रासायनिक उपचार) हैं जिन्हें पानी की प्रणालियों (स्विमिंग पूल, तालाब, जलाशय, मत्स्य-पालन आदि) में शैवाल को मारने या उसके अत्यधिक फैलाव (algal bloom) को रोकने के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है; गलत/अधिक उपयोग से अन्य जीवों को नुकसान हो सकता है।
