Definition
An ale-pot is a drinking vessel (often earthenware, pewter, or metal) used to hold, carry, or serve ale; in older literary use it can also refer metonymically to an alehouse/tavern (a place associated with ale-pots).
'ए़ल-पॉट' वह बर्तन है (अक्सर मिट्टी, पीतल/टिन मिश्रधातु या धातु का) जिसमें ए़ल (एक प्रकार की बियर) रखी, ले जाई या परोसी जाती है; पुराने साहित्यिक प्रयोग में यह प्रतीकात्मक/लाक्षणिक रूप से शराबखाना/सराय (जहाँ ए़ल-पॉट होते हैं) के अर्थ में भी आ सकता है।
