From aldehyde (alde-) + amine (-amine), coined in older chemical nomenclature; the term fell out of common use as systematic naming became standard.

Definition
Aldamine is an uncommon, largely obsolete chemical term referring to a diamine (a molecule with two –NH2 groups), often described in older texts as an “aliphatic diamine” and sometimes discussed in connection with aldehyde-derived compounds or reactions.
एल्डामाइन एक दुर्लभ और प्रायः अप्रचलित रसायन-विज्ञान का शब्द है, जिसका उपयोग ऐसे डायमाइन (दो –NH2 समूह वाले अणु) के लिए किया जाता था, जिसे पुराने ग्रंथों में “अलिफ़ैटिक डायमाइन” कहा गया है और कभी-कभी एल्डिहाइड-सम्बद्ध यौगिकों/अभिक्रियाओं के संदर्भ में वर्णित किया जाता है।
