Definition
Acceptors are persons or things that accept something; in specific fields, the term can mean (1) a person who accepts a bill of exchange (the drawee after acceptance), (2) an atom/molecule that accepts an electron to form a bond (electron acceptor), (3) a tRNA that accepts a particular amino acid, (4) a dopant/atom in a semiconductor that creates a positive hole (acceptor impurity), (5) pain receptors in skin (nociceptors/acceptors), or (6) a finite-state machine that outputs whether an input is accepted.
Acceptors का अर्थ सामान्यतः वे व्यक्ति/वस्तुएँ हैं जो किसी चीज़ को स्वीकार करते हैं; और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में इसका विशेष अर्थ हो सकता है—(1) वित्त में बिल ऑफ़ एक्सचेंज/ड्राफ्ट स्वीकार करने वाला (स्वीकृति के बाद drawee), (2) रसायन में वह परमाणु/अणु जो इलेक्ट्रॉन स्वीकार करके बंध बनाता है (electron acceptor), (3) जीवविज्ञान में वह tRNA जो किसी विशिष्ट अमीनो अम्ल को स्वीकार/धारण करता है, (4) अर्धचालक में acceptor impurity/डोपेंट जो धनात्मक ‘होल’ बनाता है, (5) त्वचा में दर्द पर प्रतिक्रिया करने वाले रिसेप्टर/कोशिकीय समूह (pain receptors), तथा (6) कंप्यूटिंग में ऐसा finite-state machine जो बताता है कि इनपुट स्वीकार हुआ या नहीं।
