Definition
A whitecurrant is a type of currant plant that produces small, round, pale or translucent white berries, usually used in jams, jellies, desserts, and sometimes eaten fresh. The plant is a deciduous shrub closely related to redcurrant and blackcurrant and is grown mainly in temperate climates as a soft fruit crop.
