মধ্য ইংরেজি “tremblen” থেকে, যা পুরাতন ফরাসি “trembler” থেকে এসেছে; মূলত লাতিন “tremulus” (কাঁপতে থাকা) এবং সম্পর্কিত লাতিন “tremere” (কাঁপা) থেকে উদ্ভূত।
Definition
“Trembles” describes small, repeated shaking movements (of the body, voice, objects, etc.), often from cold, emotion, weakness, or fear; it can also mean being afraid.
“Trembles” বলতে ছোট ছোট বারবার কাঁপুনি/কম্পন বোঝায় (শরীর, কণ্ঠস্বর, বস্তু ইত্যাদির), যা ঠান্ডা, আবেগ, দুর্বলতা বা ভয়ের কারণে হতে পারে; এটি ‘ভীত হওয়া/আতঙ্কিত হওয়া’ অর্থেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।
