Definition
Tintypes are early photographs produced by creating a photographic image (technically a negative that appears positive) on a thin metal plate and then coating it with varnish; they were popular in the 19th century because they were cheap and durable.
টিনটাইপ হলো প্রারম্ভিক যুগের এক ধরনের ফটোগ্রাফ, যেখানে পাতলা ধাতব (টিন/লোহা) পাতের উপর আলোকচিত্র (প্রযুক্তিগতভাবে নেগেটিভ, যা দেখতে পজিটিভ লাগে) তৈরি করে পরে বার্নিশ/ল্যাকার দিয়ে আবৃত করা হয়; কম খরচে ও টেকসই হওয়ায় এটি ১৯শ শতকে জনপ্রিয় ছিল।
