From Latin sub- (“under”) + ducere (“to lead, draw”), via New Latin subduct-; adopted in modern geology to describe plate motion.
লাতিন sub- (“নিচে”) + ducere (“নিয়ে যাওয়া/টেনে নেওয়া”) থেকে, নিউ-লাতিন subduct- রূপের মাধ্যমে; আধুনিক ভূতত্ত্বে প্লেটের গতিবিধি বোঝাতে শব্দটি প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।
Definition
Subducts means “moves or forces something to go under another,” especially used in geology when one tectonic plate sinks beneath another at a subduction zone.
Subducts অর্থ হলো “কোনো কিছুকে অন্য কিছুর নিচে সরে যেতে/ঢুকে যেতে বাধ্য করে বা নিজে সরে যায়”—বিশেষত ভূতত্ত্বে সাবডাকশন অঞ্চলে একটি টেকটোনিক প্লেট অন্যটির নিচে তলিয়ে যাওয়াকে বোঝায়।
