From Middle English nurture, from Old French norriture (“nourishment; upbringing”), from the verb nourrir (“to nourish”), ultimately from Latin nutrire (“to feed, nourish”).
মধ্য ইংরেজি nurture থেকে; প্রাচীন ফরাসি norriture (‘পুষ্টি; প্রতিপালন’) এবং nourrir (‘পুষ্ট করা’) থেকে উদ্ভূত; যার মূল লাতিন nutrire (‘খাওয়ানো, পুষ্ট করা’)।
Definition
“Nurtures” can refer to acts of caring for and helping someone or something grow (as nourishment, education, or upbringing), and in some contexts it can also mean what provides nourishment (food/diet) or the set of environmental influences that shape development (contrasted with “nature”).
“Nurtures” বলতে লালন-পালন, পরিচর্যা, পুষ্টি জোগানো—অর্থাৎ কারও/কিছুর বৃদ্ধি ও বিকাশে সহায়ক যত্ন (শিক্ষা, প্রতিপালন, গড়ে তোলা) বোঝাতে পারে; কিছু ক্ষেত্রে এটি পুষ্টিদায়ক বস্তু (খাদ্য/খাদ্যাভ্যাস) বা ব্যক্তির বিকাশে প্রভাবকারী পরিবেশগত উপাদানগুলোকেও (nature-এর বিপরীতে nurture) নির্দেশ করে।
