‘নির্ভুল’ (নির্- উপসর্গ + ‘ভুল’) অর্থ ‘ভুলহীন/নিখুঁত’, এবং ‘গণনা’ সংস্কৃত ‘গণনা/গণনā’ (গণ্ ধাতু, গণন/হিসাব) থেকে; দুই শব্দ মিলিয়ে অর্থ ‘ভুলহীন হিসাব বা গণনা’
‘নির্ভুল’ combines the prefix ‘নির্-’ with ‘ভুল’ meaning “without error/precise,” and ‘গণনা’ comes from Sanskrit ‘गणना (gaṇanā)’ related to counting/calculation; together they mean “error-free calculation”

যে গণনা বা হিসাব একেবারে সঠিকভাবে করা হয় এবং তাতে কোনো ভুল থাকে না তাকে ‘নির্ভুল গণনা’ বলা হয়; বিজ্ঞান, হিসাবরক্ষণ, পরিসংখ্যান ও পরীক্ষার ফল নির্ধারণে এটি বিশেষ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ
