মাদক বলতে এমন রাসায়নিক পদার্থকে বোঝায় যা সেবন করলে মন-মানসিকতা, অনুভূতি বা স্নায়ুতন্ত্রে পরিবর্তন ঘটায় এবং অনেক ক্ষেত্রে আসক্তি, স্বাস্থ্যঝুঁকি ও সামাজিক ক্ষতি ডেকে আনে; যেমন গাঁজা, হেরোইন, ইয়াবা, কোকেন ইত্যাদি
