Definition
কলা গাছের কাণ্ডের মতো যে মোটা অংশটি দেখা যায়, তা আসলে পাতা-মোড়ানো স্তর দিয়ে গঠিত ‘ছদ্মকাণ্ড’; সেই খোল বা পাতা-মোড়ানো স্তরকে ‘কলাপ’ বলা হয়
